What is the difference between the Monochromatic Series and the Chalkboard Series?

Both box sets contain 6- 8X8” (29pcs) wooden puzzles. The shapes are the same, the only difference is that with the Chalkboard Series one side of the puzzles is coated with black chalkboard paint. This is ideal for drawing on. Whereas on the Monochromatic Series, the reverse side of the puzzle a lighter shade of the same color. Both are wonderful and both sets available as the Deluxe Set is ideal. More is better.

Do Templaytes® encourage hands-on, child-led inclusive play?

Yes! When given a choice, students chose Templaytes® Occupational Therapists have taken interest in Templaytes® as a therapeutic tool to address cognitive and fine motor skills. Templaytes®

What ages are Templaytes® appropriate for?

3 to Infinity! Templaytes® have been piloted with preschool through high school students. Encourage shape recognition, sort colors, create patterns and teach opposites. This will ensure preschool kids are ready for K5. Templaytes® promote fine motor skills with place n’ trace, and cutting skills-preparing little ones for writing. Elementary students learn math and literacy through imaginative play and story telling. Middle school and high school students learn spatial reasoning, symmetry exploring geometric shapes and attention to detail. Templaytes® enforce vocabulary providing a visual dictionary for math vocabulary: rotation, reflection, parallel and perpendicular. So it is without exaggerations that we recommend ages 3 to infinity.
