Chalkboard Series
This Chalkboard Series includes 6- 8X8” wooden puzzles. These durable color-coded pieces are painted with primary and secondary colors on one side and black chalkboard on the opposite side. Each puzzle can be first, sorted by color and then reassembled back into an 8X8” square. All puzzles can then be stacked for easy storage. This set contain all basic shapes to teach concepts such as; color, shape, pattern and opposites. The chalkboard allows for drawing and writing, which teaches literacy and math. Children practice writing letters and numbers. The width is intentional to allow easy tracing with a pencil. Confidence is fueled as children learn to use this tool to draw with accuracy and precision. Intermediate learning includes geometry, symmetry and spatial reasoning while learning angles and protractors.. Included are some unique shapes to ignite imagination. Templaytes® are idea generators with the potential to introduce STEM fields through project based learning through play. Guided Instruction is available. Inquire Here

This series lends itself to beautiful mosaics when combining the contrasting black with the pastel colors next to each other. Adults enjoy the aesthetics, while children fuel their imagination.
The chalkboard side allows for random mark-making, drawing or writing letters or numbers. Use the rectangles as literacy titles and teach rhyming words. For example, align 3 titles and write the letters A and T on the 2nd and 3rd. Teach the sounds letters make by adding a S, C, F or B in the front: SAT, CAT, FAT and BAT. Write numbers on the tiles and have the child count and put them in the correct order.Strengthen fine motor skills by having children trace around the shapes to assist in drawing a picture, making their own coloring book! Trace the shapes on construction paper, cut them out then paste them onto paper. A triangle pasted above a square is a house!
Practice collaborative play while following the rules of symmetry. Start with a long rectangle in the center and take turns adding a piece first on the left, then on the right. If a piece is added to the top, the next piece should be placed on the bottom.
